Early Childhood Programs

Willmar Early Childhood Family programs are designed to help you lay a strong foundation for your child’s future, instilling a lifelong love of learning at a young age. Starting with infants all the way through preschool, we offer hands-on learning experiences for parents and children. Parents are a child’s first and most important teachers and we are here to help you discover all the ways your interactions make a huge impact on your child’s development. We are here to help with opportunities for:

  • Parent discussion
  • Resources
  • Parent and child interactions
  • Social time for your child

Early Childhood Screening (ages 3.5-4)

As your child gets older, we’ll help ensure they are ready for kindergarten with several preschool options and Early Childhood Screening. Early Childhood Screening is a quick and simple check of how your child is growing and learning and is ideal at age 3 ½ to 4 years old. Early Childhood Screening is required for entrance to Minnesota’s public schools and happens twice a month at Jefferson Learning Center. For more information about screening call 231-8490.
